Global MBA Testimonials

The process of creating value through work-integrated learning is extraordinary. It shifts the primary learning experience from the confines of academic institutions to the actual workplaces of our students. This transformation leads to an unparalleled sense of purpose, as it transitions skills training from theoretical teaching to the invaluable experience gained on the job.

Additionally, work-integration redirects the traditional focus of study from analysis to practical implementation. It is the act of implementation that has the power to bring about real change in the world. This new approach enables students to realize their potential in effecting positive changes within their work environments.

We invite you to explore the remarkable feedback from some of our students who have been willing to openly share their experiences of creating genuine value in their workplaces.

The study of the cross-cultural management has enhanced my appreciation of the influence of cultural issues on our firm’s approach to business dealings. I now have a better sense of how my awareness (or lack thereof ) of cultural nuances can have a material impact on how a business transaction with international partners or investors can progress. I have also come to appreciate the need to devote time and resources in order to better understand our international counterparties ahead of engaging in a transaction or going to the negotiating table. With many similar engagements on the horizon, I will adopt a different, more informed approach to the soft skills side of the overall engagement and our firm will certainly benefit from that going forward.

This assignment has taught me to always look at what the market is doing, never get comfortable and think you will always have work or income. The economy is too unstable to get complacent, analyse the threats and opportunities in a market, and adapt accordingly. Exploring new markets has let me create valuable other connections with people and has expanded on my professional network a lot.

While studying through this particular module of the course, it became clear that in-house servicing is not always the most efficient way of getting things done. There is a myriad of knowledge and experience a click away on the internet (and) The knowledge and understanding gained on competition in each space where business is done, be it on the corporate level or in your own neighbourhood, has changed my perspective on how to approach projects. Whether it be to improve current operations for a company running for years or to bring a start-up through planning to a fully realised business, there are checks and balances that require attention and action.

I am an engineer and not really comfortable in doing financial courses still all by myself. However, in this course unit, all I got was the reading material and I had to lay out everything on my own. It has not been easy at all but I have learnt quite a bit. This will ensure that am not blank in meetings or where I have to evaluate or appraise a project because that is what I do. I now know where to start!
