German Global MBA

Work-Integrated. Global. Designed for Working Professional

The German Global MBA is designed for experienced professionals who want to grow without stepping away from their careers.

Learning takes place directly within your workplace, where real professional challenges become the foundation of academic study—supported by experienced faculty and mentors through guided, work-integrated learning.

Selected international modules provide global exposure while keeping your professional and personal life fully intact.

There is no better way to learn

For more than 25 years, professionals across industries and regions have described their experience in the German Global MBA in the same way: there is no better way to learn.

The reason is simple. Learning does not take place in isolation from reality, but within it. Instead of analysing hypothetical cases, participants work on real challenges from their own professional environments—challenges that matter to their organisations and careers.

Academic reflection, expert mentoring, and practical implementation are tightly connected. What is learned is applied immediately, tested in practice, and refined through academic guidance. Learning becomes productive, relevant, and deeply personal.

This is why the impact of the German Global MBA does not begin after graduation. It begins from day one.

Accredited. Recognised. Academically Sound

The German Global MBA is delivered within a clearly defined and internationally recognised academic framework. Its structure, assessment standards, and degree-awarding process are embedded in the German higher education system and subject to external quality assurance.

The programme has been accredited by FIBAA, one of Europe’s leading accreditation bodies for business administration programmes. The Global MBA has received this accreditation multiple times since 1999, including the award of the FIBAA Premium Seal—granted only to a small percentage of accredited programmes in recognition of outstanding academic quality.

The degree is awarded by Albstadt-Sigmaringen University, a German University of Applied Sciences. Within an external examination framework, the university defines and verifies admission criteria, issues the study and examination regulations, appoints examiners, oversees the examinations, and awards the degree.

IBR designs and delivers the academic preparation of candidates, supporting them throughout the programme and preparing them for examinations conducted under the responsibility of the university.

Why Choose the German Global MBA?

You choose the German Global MBA with IBR because it is designed around your professional reality—not around a classroom schedule. Academic learning is combined with executive mentoring and applied directly to your own workplace, creating value while you study rather than postponing impact until after graduation.

Throughout the programme, you are supported by experienced faculty and mentors who understand complex organisational environments. They guide you in translating academic insight into practical solutions—whether you are developing new business units, restructuring organisations, or driving innovation within existing roles.

The work-integrated design allows you to balance professional responsibilities, family life, and academic development without interruption. There are no regular campus-based evening or weekend classes. Instead, the programme offers a flexible structure that adapts to your context while maintaining academic rigour and accountability.

This combination of relevance, flexibility, and depth has become one of IBR’s strongest competitive advantages—and the reason why professionals across industries choose the German Global MBA.

Best Practice for a Global Learning Experience

Global learning in the German Global MBA is not defined by permanent travel, but by meaningful exposure to different innovation environments. Participants are part of an international student community, gaining diverse perspectives through shared professional and cultural experiences.

Over the course of the programme, selected residential periods provide direct, on-the-ground exposure to two contrasting innovation ecosystems: Germany and Israel. Both are global leaders in innovation—yet shaped by very different economic structures, cultures, and approaches to entrepreneurship.

These focused international experiences allow participants to step out of their familiar environments, engage with new ways of thinking, and return with insights that can be applied directly to their own organisations. Global learning remains intensive, purposeful, and fully compatible with professional life.

The result is a learning experience that is genuinely international, without disconnecting participants from their workplaces, responsibilities, or long-term goals.

Learn from Those Who Lived It

For more than 25 years, professionals from diverse industries, regions, and backgrounds have completed the German Global MBA while remaining fully active in their careers. Their experiences form the strongest evidence of how the programme works in practice.

Graduates consistently describe the immediate impact of applying academic learning directly within their organisations—creating value while studying, not only after graduation. Their testimonials reflect real challenges, real solutions, and measurable professional outcomes.

You can explore first-hand experiences through video testimonials and an extensive collection of written reflections. Testimonials can be filtered by module and area of focus, allowing you to discover how specific parts of the programme have supported others in contexts similar to your own.

Learning That Mirrors Executive Reality

The German Global MBA is built around a structured, work-integrated learning process that reflects how experienced professionals actually work. During the first 18 months of the programme, participants address 24 real management challenges drawn directly from their own professional environments.

Each challenge is supported by carefully selected reading material that serves as a practical management toolbox rather than preparation for written examinations. There are no traditional exams. Instead, participants apply management concepts and tools to analyse real situations, identify root causes, and develop concrete, implementable solutions.

For each assignment, participants prepare a professional management report addressed to decision-makers within their organisation. Draft solutions are discussed in small, facilitated online sessions with peers and faculty, allowing participants to receive constructive feedback before final submission. Academic and professional coaching accompanies every step of the process.

This cycle—problem definition, analysis, solution design, feedback, and refinement—repeats throughout the programme, building confidence and capability in handling complex managerial situations. It reflects the reality of executive work and prepares participants to address challenges at increasing levels of responsibility.

The programme also includes six residential modules, each five days in duration. These take place during the first 18 months and include international modules in Germany and Israel, complemented by locally based and online components. The final phase of the programme focuses on a comprehensive management thesis, completed over the last six months with close academic supervision.
